Memcached in Hosting
When you host script-driven websites in a hosting account with our company, you can add the Memcached distributed memory object caching system to your shared web hosting plan with just a few mouse clicks via your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. The upgrade will be available momentarily and, since the needed extension is pre-installed on our advanced cloud website hosting platform, you can begin using it straight away. To give you more flexibility, we offer two different upgrades related to the number of instances (i.e. how many sites will use Memcached) and to the amount of memory that Memcached will use. The latter comes in increments of 16 megabytes and you can order memory as many times as you wish. Logically, the more memory Memcached is permitted to use, the more content it will cache, so if you manage a resource-absorbing website with a lot of data, you may require more memory so as to be able to take full advantage of the power that Memcached can give you.
Memcached in Dedicated Servers
Memcached comes free of charge with all dedicated servers offered by us and the only requirement is that the dedicated server must be ordered with the Hepsia Control Panel. You can use the object caching system for any database-powered Internet site, including those that are based on popular web-based apps – for example, a WordPress blog or a Joomla™-powered community website. Each server is tied to a specific amount of memory that the Memcached system can employ, but the minimum you’ll get is 3 gigabytes, which is quite enough to increase the speed of extremely popular sites tremendously, as this very memory will be dedicated to storing the cached content. The system will start caching data as soon as it’s activated, so soon after that, you will observe the enhanced overall performance of your sites and the reduced server load. Many Internet sites use Memcached to increase their efficacy, including popular ones such as Reddit and Wikipedia.
